A Christmas Tea for the elderly was held on 1 December 2011 at Dulce Cafe Waterstone Mall.
The Christmas tea for the elderly was sponsored by Dulce Café Waterstone Village and Pick a Pay. The elderly from Heldervue Village sang Christmas Carrols.

Dulce Café opens its doors today in the SABC Television Channels and Radio Stations in Auckland Park, Johannesburg. Dulcé Café Managing Director, Mike Pullen elaborates, “Auckland Park is a first for us and is already proving a prominent and profitable site, with phenomenal marketing possibilities. Our target market is inclusive of all staff and visitors to the SABC, as well as prominent DJ’s, show hosts, support and production staff, to school groups, business people and regular visitors.”
The official launch is today, but the store has already had a soft opening and it seems as though it’s already been embraced by the SABC staff, and is presently trading well. The store’s décor has embraced its surroundings with minimal interior decoration, intended to conform and harmonise with surrounding SABC décor. Trading hours are from 06h00 to 18h00 and there is indoor seating available for working/eating meetings.
